Hence, in this post, I will be sharing the recipe of a very soothing and mild facial scrub. It is mild enough for every alternate day usage and makes skin super soft and bright. Ingredients and their Benefits:
Rose petals possess anti-bacterial properties that help in treating acne and preventing further infestation. The regular usage of rose petals minimizes the occurrence of acne. It also works wonderfully when comes to skin toning. The toning properties of rose petals make the skin soft, smooth and clear. The rose petals also hydrate and moisturize the skin. It effectively treats the dry patches and gets rid of flaky skin. While rose petals help in moisturizing the skin they effectively control excessive oil production too.
Chamomile is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and is a great herb for sensitive skin. It efficiently soothes and calms the skin and provides a cooling effect. Chamomile also heals the skin. It cleanses and moisturises the skin very well. Chamomile also lightens dark spots and scars as it bleaches them naturally. Apart from this, it is quite potent in fighting acne and keeping it at bay. The antioxidants present in chamomile are helpful in protecting the skin from harmful free radicals.
Oats help in absorbing excess oil from the skin. It is a natural cleanser and also works as an exfoliator, thereby removing the dead skin cells. It can remove all the dirt and oil from the pores and makes the skin clear. The regular usage of oats on the skin reduces the visibility of pores and treats skin congestion.
It also contains polysaccharides, which help in treating the dry and flaky skin. Oats are well-known for skin lightening properties, and thus even out the skin tone. Apart from this, oats can eliminate the acne-causing bacteria from the skin and make it acne-free as well.
Anti-bacterial property of honey helps in combating acne. It moisturizes and nourishes the skin, making it soft and smooth. It treats dry patches and keeps the skin hydrated. Honey is also known to treat skin discolouration. It makes the skin even-toned with an improved texture.
How to Make:
Take one bag of chamomile tea and cut it open. Transfer the content to a bowl. Alternatively, you can use ground dry chamomile herb.
Add a half tablespoon of rose petal powder to it.
Add 1 tablespoon of oats powder. Mix everything well.
Add 3-4 tablespoons of honey to it and give it a good mix.
How to Use:
Cleanse your face and neck with a mild cleanser.
Apply this scrub on the skin and massage gently in circular motion. Leave it on for 2-3 minutes afterwards.
Later rinse it off with lukewarm to normal water.
Further, move on with your regular skin care regimen.
