Origin:

The famed Himalayan pink salt is a type of rock salt that is mined from Khewra Salt Mines in Jhelum district of Punjab. This province in Pakistan is supposedly millions of years old and has huge salt crystal protrusions.

This salt is rich in sodium and also contains trace amounts of minerals like calcium, chloride, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium.

2. Take a cup of fine-grain Himalayan salt and mix it with coconut oil. Mix it well and use it as a body scrub. It is an excellent exfoliator that will remove your dead cells, help in regeneration of new cells and cure irritation.
